Unfortunately we are needing to cancel the park event in March as there is no-one available from FoSKaP to lead this event. We apologise for any inconvenience cause and hope that we will see you at the next event on Saturday 30th April
A big thank you to the City of Edinburgh Council for adding new bark along the burnside path. It looks brilliant! They also made improvements to the stairs. Thank you 🙂
We have needed to cancel the varnishing event on Saturday 31st July and instead will next be meeting in the park on Saturday 21st August for both varnishing and a litter pick.
If you would like to come along then please meet us at 10 am in the park near the bus shelter. We will see which wooden sculptures are needing a varnish before the Autumn and hand out the litter pickers.
You can show your interest in attending on our Facebook page here.
We hope you can make it along and look forward to seeing you!
Our next park event is taking place on Saturday 26th June starting at 10 am, please meet at the main noticeboard near to the bus shelter. We will be varnishing the wooden sculptures and orienteering posts in St Katharine’s Park. The weather is looking like a great day for a bit of varnishing so please do come and join us.
After the 1 hour of varnishing, we will have a catch up over a picnic. Feel free to bring along your own snacks and drinks for the picnic. It would be great if you would like to stay and let us know what you would like to do at our next event.
We hope to see you along for the varnishing and picnic on Saturday at 10 am. You can sign up via our Facebook page here: https://fb.me/e/3OujZAsl3
Sadly the squirrel wooden sculpture has been stolen from the park in the last week!
We hope it will be found, so if you see it, please get in touch with Mike Shields – Mike.Shields@edinburgh.gov.uk.
If it’s found in someone’s garden then we will have to involve the police. However, no action will be taken if the sculpture is promptly returned to the park. Please do let us know if you see the squirrel anywhere.
